CM Biren richer by Rs 30 lakh in five years

Imphal, February 08 2022: Assets of chief minister N Biren Singh increased only around Rs 30 lakh from the assets mentioned in the affidavit he submitted in the previous assembly election held in 2017 .

N Biren mentioned assets worth Rs 78,25,674 in the affidavit he submitted in 2017 election while the affidavit submitted for the 2022 election has assets worth Rs 1,08,46,392 thereby increasing only around Rs 30 lakh in the past five years.

Movable assets mentioned in N Biren Singh's affidavit in 2017 election was Rs 17,70,434 while in-movable assets mentioned was Rs 56,70,100.The affidavit also mentioned his wife's assets at Rs 84,27,954 .

On the other hand, speaker Y Khemchand has assets worth Rs 2,25,47,894 as per the 2022 election affidavit.

It also mentioned assets worth Rs 14,08,751 for his wife.

As per the affidavit, Y Khemchand has Rs 1,50,000 cash, movable assets worth Rs 1,71,32,611 and in-movable assets worth Rs 52,65,283 .

The affidavit also mentioned movable assets of his wife at Rs 7,08,298 and in-movable assets Rs 6,00,000 .

Meanwhile, Sagolband MLA RK Imo mentioned in his election affidavit that he has a total assets worth Rs 3,72,19,752 and assets worth Rs 2,13,20,021 for his wife.

As per the election affidavit, RK Imo has movable assets worth Rs 1,14,37,779, in-movable assets worth Rs 2,55,65,573 and Rs 2,16,400 cash.
