CRPF, Police join cleanliness, tree plantation drives

Imphal, July 05 2026: Security forces and community organisations carried out cleanliness and tree plantation drives in Imphal East on Sunday to promote environmental conservation and community welfare.

86 Battalion CRPF, Lamphelpat, under Commandant Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, in collaboration with Kabui Mothers' Association and local residents, organised a drive at Rani Gaidinliu Park, New Secretariat, Mantripukhri.

The initiative focused on cleaning the park premises, enhancing green cover, and planting indigenous saplings to restore the local ecosystem.

Dinganglung Gangmei, MLA Nungba AC, and K James K Rongmei, Assistant Commandant, 86 Bn CRPF attended the event.

Separately, Irilbung Police Station, led by Officer-in-Charge RK Chingkhu under the supervision of SP Imphal East, conducted a social service and cleanliness drive at Kongba Bazar with active support from local Meira Paibis.

Saplings were also planted to spread awareness on cleanliness and environmental protection.
