'Phouoibee' bags Prag Cine Award 2026 nominations

Imphal, July 04 2026: Suraj Khongbantabam's Manipuri feature film Phouoibee (The Goddess of Paddy) has received nominations for Best Film Northeast and Best Director at the Prag Cine Award 2026 Northeast India.

The award ceremony will be held on Sunday at Jyoti Bishnu International Auditorium, Khanapara, Guwahati.

Directed by Rakesh Moirangthem, the film earlier won the Special Jury Award at the 3rd Northeast India Film Festival.

It has also been officially selected for Kolkata International Film Festival 2025, 2nd Guwahati Asian Film Festival 2026, IFFD 2026, 9th International Folklore Film Festival, Kerala, and 17th International Film Festival 2026 .
