Imphal, July 04 2024:
The KCP-People War Group (PWG) has cautioned people of all communities in the state about existence of a corrupt network involving ministers, MLAs, high-ranking government officials, and civilians.
Such a group, described as scammers, has been manipulating government job recruitments both in the past and the present, the armed outfit said and expressed that if the said gang is not eradicated, societal chaos will ensue, pitting people against each other.
In a statement, Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) MC Unification PRO Chingkhe-inganba emphasised that every community in the state shares the responsibility of rooting out this corrupt gang, as it includes individuals from all communities.
The gang exploits the desperation of those who see no future without a government job, taking bribes with false job promises and refusing to return the money when the jobs do not materialise.
This has led to widespread humiliation and frustration, driving some youths to take up arms or fall into drug abuse.
The KCP received numerous complaints against the gang and has issued a stern warning that the gang members must return the bribe money by the end of July or face punitive actions, Chingkheinganba said.
Informing that the punitive actions will be given publicly, the organisation urged all community members as well as family members to support their efforts rather than the corrupt individuals.
Furthermore, the outfit informed that they will form an anti-corruption wing, monitored by a special team, to address these cases.
Claiming that over 200 cases with substantial evidences have been identified, KCP urged the public to report any additional instances of corruption.
