RIMS organises oral, mental health awareness camp

Bishnupur, August 29 2026: An oral and mental health awareness camp for children was organised today at the Laisoi Relief Camp, Bishnupur, by the Department of Paediatric and Preventive Dentistry, Dental College, Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Imphal, in collaboration with the ETA Northeast Women Network and the State Tele-MANAS Cell, Manipur.

The camp, a part of the Nanhi Muskan (Little Smile) Project 2026 under ISPPD, aimed at promoting oral health, mental well-being and overall healthy development among children residing at the relief camp.

To encourage creativity and constructive engagement, art and craft activities such as flower making and paper-bag making were demonstrated for the children and parents.

The activities provided an opportunity for creative expression while developing practical skills and fostering positive interaction, said RIMS.

Free medicines, books and clothes were distributed to the children and families residing at the relief camp.
