Imphal West DISHA meeting reviews key government schemes and initiatives

Imphal, March 29 2025: The two-day District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for Imphal West district, held at Kombirei Hall, DC Complex, Lamphelpat, concluded on Saturday.

The meeting was chaired by DISHA Committee chairperson and Lok Sabha MP Dr Angomcha Bimol Akoijam.

During the meeting, Dr Bimol Akoijam reviewed various centrally and state-sponsored schemes, including NHM, NTEP, UDID, NADCP, NAIP, NJM, RGM, NPDD, ICDS, BBPS, PMMVY, OSC, SBM-G 1.0, SBM-G 2.0, JJM, NFSA, PMUY, Parivahan, PMAGY, PMEGP, CSC, PMGDISHA, Khelo India, CSS, SAMARTH, and the e-SHRAM Portal, among others.

The district's DLOs from various government departments, including medical, veterinary and animal husbandry, PHED, CAF-PD, transport, OBC and SC, DIC, DIO, DYASO, handloom and textile, and SLEE, provided detailed presentations on their respective areas of responsibility.

In his address, Dr Bimol emphasised the critical role of DISHA meetings in ensuring the effective implementation of government initiatives.

He urged all DLOs to uphold transparency, accountability, and efficiency in their administrative functions for the overall development of Imphal West district.

The chairperson also encouraged officials to proactively address challenges in key sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, and livelihood development, fostering meaningful discussions to enhance the impact of these initiatives.

He reiterated that the success of government schemes relies on coordinated efforts and sound governance.

The session was attended by DC Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh, representatives from various assembly constituencies, DISHA committee nominees, Panchayat members, stakeholders, and district-level officers.
