AR conducts medical camps in Moreh

In a significant initiative to address critical healthcare needs in the region, the Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), organized a Mega Medical Camp at St George School, Moreh, Tengnoupal District on November 25, 2024 .
The initiative was aimed to provide essential medical services to the local community and promote health awareness, said a release issued by IGAR (South) .
The Mega Medical Camp successfully extended free medical consultations and treatments to 1,115 individuals, including 305 men, 330 women, and 480chil-dren from Moreh and nearby villages.
The services provided encompassed general checkups, pediatric care, and specialist consultations, ensuring comprehensive healthcare coverage for attendees, added IGAR (S) .
A dedicated team of doctors from the Indian Medical Association participated in the camp, bringing their expertise to ensure quality healthcare delivery.
Their involvement not only facilitated immediate medical assistance but also played a crucial role in promoting health awareness among participants, said the IGAR (S) .
IGAR continued that the camp served as a vital platform to bridge gaps in medical access andfoster community well-being in remote areas.
By providing free medical services, theAssam Rifles and IMA demonstrated their commitment to enhancing the health standards of the local population.
