143 Bn CRPF hands over water harvesting system in Tamenglong

Imphal, February 26 2026: The 143 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme on Thursday at Ward No 7, Farmland village in Tamenglong district under the aegis of M&N Sector.

As part of the programme, a water harvesting system was formally handed over to the villagers to help address local water needs and support sustainable resource management, said 143 Bn CRPF in a release.

Ravinder Sharma, Commandant of 143 Bn, graced the occasion as chief guest.

The event was also attended by Sanmiyo Luikham, SP of Tamenglong; CS Kushwana, Dy Commandant; Langhu Simon Anal, SHO-TML; Inspector Surinder Kumar, OC E/143 CRPF; Inspector Nitish Kumar, 143 Bn CRPF; Lonkhiu Pao, chairman of Farmland village; along with other dignitaries; youth and residents.
