Thoubal, September 23 2024:
Criticising the negative portrayal of the chief minister, who has been accused of sidelining Thoubal district, former BJP Manipur Pradesh vice president Th Jadumani has asserted that the chief minister has never neglected the area and urged everyone to stop falsifying the chief minister.
After a meeting of BJP workers as well as public on Sunday, Jadumani addressed the media regarding a viral video of the chief minister speaking in a public meeting.
He stated that the video was intentionally misrepresented on social media to portray the chief minister inaccurately.
He said that the chief minister did not imply any neglect of Thoubal and called it unfortunate that he has been misrepresented.
He noted that the chief minister has implemented various development programmes in Thoubal in the past and is currently working on additional initiatives.
He also said that the crisis is not among the populace of the state but a war between the state forces and Kuki illegal immigrants.
During this time of crisis, public should neither believe in lies being spread to disintegrate Manipur nor demand removal of chief minister as resignation of the chief minister would eventually mean imposition of President's Rule in the state rather than bringing solution to the crisis.
The function was attended by BJP Thoubal District president Y Kumarjit Singh, former Pradhans of the district, members, GP chairperson, Municipal Council ex-councillors, members and party members.
