State logs 13 new cases

Imphal, June 23 2025:
Thirteen new Covid-19 cases were reported on Monday, as the state grapples with a renewed surge in infections.
According to the Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP), the daily positivity rate stood at 31.7 per cent, with the new cases detected from 41 tests conducted.
Imphal West led with nine cases, followed by Imphal East at four.
No deaths were reported, and seven patients were discharged, leaving 138 active cases state-wide.
Since June 16, the state has recorded 158 positive cases from 510 tests, reflecting an overall positivity rate of 31.0 per cent.
The spike has been driven primarily by Imphal West, which reported 112 cumulative cases, and Imphal East with 33 cases.
Thoubal and Tengnoupal contributed six and two cases, respectively, while districts such as Bishnupur, Kakching, Kamjong, and Senapati reported isolated or no cases during this period.
Churachandpur, Jiribam, Pherzawl, Senapati, and Tamenglong remain unaffected as of June 23 .
Health authorities have intensified testing efforts, utilising RT-PCR/TrueNat, CBNAAT, and Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) .
Testing peaked on June 22 with 101 tests, while the highest daily positivity rate of 44.6 per cent was recorded on June 20, when 29 new cases emerged from 65 tests.
Currently, 130 patients are under home isolation, with a cumulative total of 147 individuals managed at home during this wave.
So far, 17 patients have been discharged after completing seven days of isolation, and no cases have required referral to COVID care centres.
