Many donate CM CRF, hospitals

Several organisations continued to make donation to the Chief Minister's Covid-19 Relief Fund (CMCRF).
On Sunday, All Manipur VDF Welfare Association donated one day's honorarium of their members amounting to Rs 28,47,466 in total to the CM's Covid-19 Relief Fund.
The said amount was contributed by all the VDF members of 16 districts of the state so that it could be used in procurement of necessary items used in treatment of Covid-19 patients.
All Manipur Government Drivers and Technicians' Association also donated their one day's wages from the pay of May 2021 to the Relief Fund while Imphal Municipal Corporation donated Rs 1 lakh.
Chief minister N Biren Singh expressed profound gratitude to the organisations for the donation.
The 1997 Class XII batch of Manipur Public School on Sunday donated six D-Type cylinders to the state government so as to help at least to some extent in resolving the issue of shortage of medical oxygen brought on by the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The alumni handed over the 52-litre cylinders three each to RIMS and JNIMS hospital authorities and assured of extending necessary help to the government from time to time.
