Review meeting on 'Sampoornata Abhiyan' held

A monthly review meeting was conducted by the Chandel district administration on 'Sampoornata Abhiyan' under the NITI Aayog's Aspirational District Programme (ADP), Chandel along with evaluating the ongoing initiatives under the Aspirational Block Program (ABP), Chakpikarong at the office chamber of Deputy Commissioner, Chandel on Thursday.
The meeting was presided over by Chandel DC Mayanglambam Rajkumar in the presence of CMO, ZEO, representatives from various line departments, and officials from the ADP Cell.
It may be mentioned that 'Sampoornata Abhiyan' initiated by NITI Aayog is a three-month campaign from July 4-September 30 focusing on themes such as health, nutrition, agriculture, social development, and education.
The discussions centred on achievements, challenges, and strategies needed to accelerate development initiatives in Aspirational District Chandel and Aspirational Block Chakpikarong.
Key areas of progress included percentage of Antenatal Care (ANC) registration within the first trimester against total ANC registered and full immunisation of children, distribution of text books in schools, soil health card distribution system, and mobilisation of self-help groups (SHGs) account opening regarding SHGs Revolving Funds, etc.
Moreover, challenges such as gaps in service delivery and the need for enhanced community participation were also highlighted.
The district administration emphasised the importance of a coordinated approach to ensure that all planned interventions under 'Sampoornata Abhiyan' are effectively implemented.
Special attention was given to ensuring that marginalised communities within the district and blocks receive the necessary support to improve their living standards.
The meeting concluded with a call for action to all stakeholders by redoubling their efforts to achieve the programme's objectives, with a commitment to regular monitoring and timely redressal of issues.
The district administration reaffirmed its dedication to driving inclusive growth and sustainable development in Chandel and Chakpikarong through the continued implementation of NITI Aayog's initiatives.
