CCpur Meitei IDPs mourn demise of K Kuleshwar

Imphal, May 21 2026: The internally displaced persons (Meitei IDPs) from Churachandpur, expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolence over the sudden demise of Khangembam Kuleshwar, chairman of the Film Forum Manipur, who passed away on the midnight of May 20.In a condolence message, the Khumujamba Meitei Leikai Pattadar (Landowner) Association (KMLPA) stated that the demise of Khangembam Kuleshwar was not only a great loss to the film fraternity and civil society of Manipur, but also to countless displaced families who found in him a compassionate and courageous voice during one of the most difficult periods in the State's recent history.

Describing him as a voice of humanity and conscience, the association said his efforts helped create awareness and understanding about the plight of Meitei IDPs and reminded society of the shared humanity that binds all communities together.
