BJP calls 24 hrs bandh

The Bharatiya Janata Party, Khangabok Mandal has called 24 hours Khangabok bandh from December 20 midnight till December 21 midnight against the as a reaction against the UNC's indefinite economic blockade along National Highways.
BJP Manipur Pradesh former president Thokchom Jadumani, in a press meet held at Khangabok BJP Mandal office today said the UNC's economic blockade has not only caused many hardships to the people of the State, it has given rise to various unwanted incidents.
The State Government, on the other hand, has done nothing to solve the issue, Jadumani alleged adding that they will launch a 24 hours bandh at Khangabok to protest the UNC's economic blockade.
Media, educational institutes, and religious matters have been exempted from the purview of the bandh, our correspondent reports.
