Hill Leaders' Day & Meeyamgi Numit held in districts

Imphal, January 20 2023: CHANDEL: 'District Hill Leaders' Day' & 'Meeyamgi Numit' for the month of January was held at multipurpose hall, Mini-Secretariat, DC complex, here on Friday.

During the programme, Chandel deputy commission er Mayanglambam Rajkumar handed over various items and cash awards to beneficiaries under different schemes of departments.

As part of the event, books and uniforms were distributed to students of various schools.

Other items like water filters, yoga mats, plant medicines, poly house nets, etc., were also distributed to select beneficiaries.

Departments like Health, Social Welfare, Agriculture, ICDS and others rendered services to many individuals of the district.

Free medical check-ups and Covid-19 vaccination were also conducted by the Health Department at the venue.

ADC Md Firoj Khan and SDOs concerned also interacted with the visitors and discussed their issues one by one.

Applications of various issues related to developmental works were accepted for further necessary actions.

SENAPATI: District administration Senapati on Friday organised the 'District Hill Leaders' Day' and 'Meeyamgi Numit' at the multipurpose hall, Mini-Secretariat for the month of January.

During the event, issues relating to old age pension, water supply, electricity, village development, re-construction of footpath, land encroachment, etc., were brought to the notice of DC (Senapati) Mahesh Chaudhari, who then directed them to the departments concerned for redressal.

While delivering services to the public, Agriculture De partment issued four knapsack sprayers and three micronutrients to beneficiaries; 54 ration cards were issued by CAF&PD; 10 yarn cards by District Hand loom and Textile Office; and 14 people screened for non-communicable disease by Health Department.

It may be mentioned that the district administration had formed a special dedicat ed Meeyamgi Numit Cell with WhatsApp No 9863554329 and email ID: [email protected] whereby anyone can send his/her grievances prior to the monthly programme.

CHURACHANDPUR: The district administration of Churachandpur on Friday organised its Hill Leaders' Day at YPA hall Hiangtam Lamka.

The programme was attended by leaders of various civil society organisations, village authorities and public.

During the event, all the staffers of the district-based government departments opened their service counters where complaints pertaining to each department were made.

Besides other government agencies, the social welfare department provided old age pension cards (under the Ministry of MOAP/NSAP) and widow pension and care giver/CMHT schemes on the day.

Altogether 21 such cards were distributed to people from various constituencies in the presence of DC Sharat Arroyu.

In a related development, MLA LM Khaute distributed 10 CM widow pension scheme cards and another 39 MOAPS cards to old and senior citizens of the district.

The programme was held at his residence at Thangzam road.

One of the beneficiaries, Robinson expressed his gratitude to the MLA and his wife, the social welfare department such government benefits and expressed his wishes that other deserving persons like him continue to avail the benefits from the government in days to come.

THOUBAL: 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) was organised by district administration of Thoubal at the counting hall of DCs Office Complex for the month of January on Friday.

As done in the preceding months, DC (Thoubal) A Subhash Singh, along with DLOs heard various grievances and demands of the public.

Four CMHT cards and one disability certificate were distributed to the beneficiaries by the DC at the programme while 34 grievances relating to CMHT were registered.

Of the grievances, nine were approved for issuing cards by the DC, while 25 cases of old age pension and 18 cases of widow pension were registered.

A total of 191 written applications from 238 applicants were received on Friday related to issues such as CMHT and pension schemes for widow & old age, PHED, police, MSPDCL among others.

At the event, 21 stalls of different departments including police, CMO, ICDS, ZEO, MSPDCL, Veterinary, Agriculture and Fisheries were opened to take care of the needs of the public.

SP Jogeshchandra Haobijam, ADM B Lokeshor Sharma, CMO Dr Y Nokul, all sub-divisional officers and other DLOs of different departments also attended the programme to address the grievances of general public.

BISHNUPUR: DC (Bishnupur) Lourembam Bikram, accompanied by SDOs and DLOs at tended to the grievances of as many as 239 applicants during the 'Meeyamgi Numit' in Bishnupur on Friday.

The monthly event which was held at Panchayat Resource Centre, Mini Secretariat witnessed the highest ever public turn-out since its inception last year.

On the occasion, DC Bikram distributed wheelchairs and other assorted devices to three senior citizens under the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana scheme.

Issues related to widow pension, old age pension and CMHT cards were the major grievances raised by the public during the event.

Few applications were also received for ration cards, housing and scholarship (or Covid orphans.

Stalls of various district departments including Social Welfare, chief medical officer, district supply officer (CAF&PD), District Industries Centre, Horticulture & Soil Conservation, Handloom & Textiles, Weights & Measures and Kisan Credit Card were set up to facilitate different concerns of the public.

JIRIBAM: District administration of Jiribam on Friday organised the 7th 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) in respect of Jiribam district at DC Complex, Chingdong Leikai.

Jiribam DC W Malemnganba Chenglei, ADC Jameson Hangshing, additional SP Emmanuel Fimate and other district level officers of various departments attended the event.

Altogether, 19 departments including Health, Social Welfare, Fishery, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Agriculture, Sericulture, MSPDCL, PWD, CAF&PD and Veterinary and Animal Husbandry opened their stalls for delivering public services and redressing public grievances during the event.

Some of the services provided during the programme included distribution of two sprinkler pump sets to the selected beneficiaries by Horticulture & Soil Conservation Department.

Agriculture Department renewed farmer's cards while CAF&PD Department issued two ration cards to beneficiaries under National Food Security Act.

On the other hand, Social Welfare Department issued 38 CMHT cards to the selected beneficiaries.

As many as 42 applications on issues pertaining to issuance of OBC certificates, income certificates, domicile certificates and land records, etc., were also received for further necessary action.

The DC heard the grievances of the people one by one and instructed officials of the department concerned to redress their grievances.

Unlike other months, public turnout was comparatively lower this time.
