15 vehicles recovered, SFs continue search Ops

Imphal, April 17 2025: Security forces conducted search operations at different locations on Wednesday, recovering 15 vehicles stolen/snatched by miscreants.

According to a Manipur police control room release, special drives conducted led to the recovery of 15 vehicles reported as stolen or snatched.

The recovered vehicles included nine four-wheelers and six two-wheelers.

Meanwhile, security forces arrested an active member of the proscribed KYKL identified as Angom Ajoy Meitei (32) of Phayeng Mayai Leikai from Phayeng and recovered a BP jacket, helmet, military waist belt, telescope and a mobile phone.

A cadre of proscribed KCP (Lalumba) identified as Wahengbam Ramananda Singh (50) of Kontha Ahallup Mayai Leikai under Heingang police station was also arrested from Ahallup Makha Leikai Laiharaobam Leirak and recovered one 9mm pistol with six rounds, two .32 magazines with eight rounds and a mobile phone.

Meanwhile, security forces conducted search operation at Saidan village under Churachandpur police station and recovered one each .303 rifle, 9mm pistol, modified carbine machine gun, local made single barrel, modified 81mm mortar long range, tear smoke shell (short) and tear smoke shell (long), and two Pompi.
