Assam Rifles organises specialist medical camp at Pallel Garrison

Assam Rifles organised a Specialist Medical Camp at Pallel Garrison in Kakching District on Monday as part of its continued commitment towards community welfare and support to the civilian population.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the camp was aimed at providing accessible healthcare services to residents of remote and underserved areas of Kakching District and adjoining regions.
A team of specialist doctors from the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) extended medical consultation and treatment during the camp.
Services included Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Dentistry with emphasis on oral hygiene and Orthopaedics.
Patients were provided complimentary health screenings, counselling and treatment advice.
Preventive healthcare and healthy lifestyle practices were emphasised during the consultations.
Necessary medication was distributed free of cost, sponsored under the SHAURYA HDFC Life Initiative, which enhanced the effectiveness of the medical services offered.
The camp witnessed participation from both the local civilian population and Assam Rifles personnel along with their families.
A total of 250 beneficiaries availed the services, comprising 180 civilians and 70 personnel with family members.
Assam Rifles personnel coordinated the arrangements and extended logistical support to ensure smooth conduct of the camp.
By extending complimentary specialist medical services, the initiative contributed to improving health and welfare in the community.
It provided timely access to medical care for those who often face challenges in reaching healthcare facilities, thereby supporting better health outcomes and strengthening community well-being in the region.
