Chandel, October 14 2026: The valedictory function ofa 10-day training programme on 'Durable Carry Bag Making' was held at Riverlane community hall in Chandel district.

The training programme was organised by the Science and Technology Department, Government of Manipur.

Kengoo Zuringla, Secretary Science and Technology Department; Chingakham Sachi, Director Science and Technology Department; TD Kom, Joint Director and Finance Officer Natalidita Ningthoukhongjam attended as the presidium members of the programme.

Certificates of participation were distributed to the trainees.

The training programme has been organised with an aim to empower the women and to help them sustain themselves by generating a regular source of income.
