NSCN/GPRN Zeilad Zeliangrong Region calls for quality, timely completion of road projects

Imphal, April 13 2026: The Office of the Zeilad Zeliangrong Region, NSCN/ GPRN has issued a press statement calling upon all work agencies and contractors engaged in road infrastructure projects undertaken from Rangkhung to Tamenglong Road (Dailong Junction) under PMGSY for speedy completion and to maintain strict adherence to quality standards and government approved rate schedules.

Reiterating its commitment to ensuring transparency and accountability in road development infrastructures, the organisation cautioned concerned agencies and departments against releasing any payments until the ongoing project/works are fully completed or executed and ensure to keep all related bills at abeyance.

The office also stressed on the current project undertaken from Kaiphundai (NH-37) to Mandiu-Tamenglong, Assam Mohur Road NH-137 under CRIF to ensure transparency and desired standards of quality including GSB, side drainages, culverts and other requisite infrastructures.

It further reiterated the concerned agency to ensure timely completion of the projects within the stipulated time frame, noting that road connectivity remains the primary lifeline for the people, particularly those in Tousem sub-division.

The statement warned that any deviation from the directives or failure to comply would invite strict accountability measures against the concerned work agencies or contractors, departments and authorities responsible.
