CCpur, February 12 2026:
Assam Rifles distributed five computers to Hope Baptist Academy at Bible Hill, Rengkai in Churachandpur District on Wednesday as part of Operation Sadbhavana.
As per a release issued by the IGAR (South), the initiative is aimed at strengthening digital education in remote areas where schools often struggle with limited infrastructure and inadequate access to modem learning tools.
Educational institutions in the hill districts face challenges such as poor connectivity, lack of resources, and limited exposure to technology.
These constraints hinder students from acquiring essential digital skills that are increasingly necessary in today's competitive environment.
By providing computers, Assam Rifles has helped bridge this gap through its flagship civic action programme, enabling students to access interactive learning platforms, improve classroom engagement, and develop computer literacy that is vital for higher education and future employment.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from approximately 300 students and 20 staff members of the school, who welcomed the intervention as a timely step towards improving academic standards.
For many young learners, the availability of computers marks a turning point, offering opportunities to explore knowledge beyond textbooks and connect with the wider world.
Through Op Sadbhavana, Assam Rifles continues to support communities in overcoming local challenges and creating pathways for growth.
The initiative reflects a practical response to the pressing educational needs of the region, reinforcing the importance of technology in shaping brighter futures for the youth of Manipur.
