Imphal, July 07 2024:
Ahead of its 13th Raising Day which falls on July 8, the Coordination Committee (CorCom) extended revolutionary honour and salute to all those who martyred during the course of the liberation struggle of Kangleipak (Manipur) .
On the occasion, the conglomerate of underground groups operating in Manipur and WESEA region also shared pain of all those injured during course of liberation struggle as well as suffering of the people solidly standing behind the liberation movement.
According to a CorCom statement, Kangleipak (Manipur) was a completely independent nation bearing all four key characteristics of a nation state of the globe like definite territory, population, government and sovereignty since thousands of years.
Though the territory of Manipur (Kangleipak) increased or decreased as per power and capability of the kings in the past thereby setting the historical boundary, the present political map of Manipur was set by mutual and collective understanding of administrators of the British, Myanmar and Manipur.
However, two colonial powers (British and India) continue with the policy of forced assimilation, extraction of resources and captive market and captive economy in Manipur.
Apart from this, the people of Manipur are being denied their rightful rights and reduced to beggars.
Even though Manipur got independence in 1947 from white colonial power (the British), black colonial power (India) took over the administration of Manipur from 1947.Accordingly, the agenda of the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) is to combat colonialism or continue anti-colonial struggle entailing collective fight till achieving success.
It also said that unity of the people should be garnered through similar agenda as dissimilarity would never bring unity.
There were no clarion call for entire people to take up arms but many volunteered to join the liberation movement.
The call, however, is not to launch any movement which would affect people or the agenda, the CorCom said.
According to the CorCom statement issued by publicity committee, it is questionable as to what had India done till date for the suffering people of Manipur (Kangleipak) in the more than one year long proxy war waged with precised planning.
Isn't it true that the proxy war is being waged after promoting many mafia using paramilitary forces, the CorCom said and further accused India of not only waging the war but also forming and aiding the maha.
First, it is government of India that the people of Manipur (Kangleipak) are fighting the war at present and the second one is many maha formed by India.
There has to be maha among the Meetei community too as class collaborators are puppets of India.
The rope is being pulled by India and government of India formed maha as a necessity so that the rope does not snap, the CorCom said adding that entire people need to come together in decolonization process to be able to defeat colonialism or achieve the goal of anti-colonial struggle.
