Assam Rifles in association with Emmanuel Hospital, Churachandpur organised a comprehensive Medical and Health Check-Up Camp at remote villages of Churachandpur on June 6.According to IGAR (South), the collaborative initiative was designed to bridge the healthcare gap in an underserved region where limited infrastructure and seasonal weather conditions often disrupt timely medical access.
The outreach camp generated an overwhelming response, drawing nearly 300 villagers, including senior citizens, women and children.
A dedicated team of 12 medical personnel, combining the expertise of the Assam Rifles and Emmanuel Hospital, provided meticulous health assessments and distributed free, essential medicines tailored to individual needs.
Moving beyond immediate treatment, the team actively engaged the community in interactive sessions focused on personal hygiene, lifestyle diseases and preventive healthcare strategies to foster long-term well-being.
By bringing specialized care directly to the doorsteps of vulnerable groups, the camp successfully mitigated immediate health concerns while cultivating a lasting sense of security.
