71st CRPF Bn conducts CAP in Bishnupur

Bishnupur, December 04 2025: The 71st Battalion of the Central Reserve PoliceForce(CRPF) organised a Civic Action Programme (CAP) at INA Memorial School, Kwakta, on Thursday, distributing essential aid to over 70 internally displaced persons (IDPs) from various relief camps and around 75 needy beneficiaries from the battalion's area of responsibility (AOR) .

Ganashyam Behwal, DIGP of Churachandpur Range, attended the event as chief guest and was welcomed by Pramod Kumar Singh, Commandant of the 71st Bn CRPF with uttariya and bouquet.

Senior officers from the 58th, 129th, and 8th Battalions of the CRPF, along with officials from the State administration, were also present The programme highlighted humanitarian support amidst the ongoing unrest in Manipur, underscoring the role of the CRPF in promoting national integration, welfare and community bonding beyond security responsibilities.

Beneficiaries included residents of Moirang College Relief Camp Block A & B, Mangolnganbi College Relief Camp, Thangjing Guest House Relief Camp, Kwakta Sericulture Relief Camp and villagers in AOR of 71st Bn CRPF .

As part of the initiative, 65 water storage tanks, 75 sewing machines for skill development, and 5 solar lights were provided to the beneficiaries.

In his address, the chief guest praised the collaborative welfare model and urged sustained efforts towards IDP rehabilitation, self-reliance and long-term peace in Manipur.
