First Aid Awareness Capsule held at St Joseph School, Andro

A one-day First Aid Awareness Capsule Programme was successfully conducted at St Joseph School, Andro, on Monday.
Organised by the Madras Regiment-VII, Andro Post, the session aimed to equip students and staff with basic life-saving skills.
Captain (Dr) Suhas M, RMO, 7 Madras, was the resource person.
A total of 106 students from Classes VI to X, along with 10 teachers and members of the School Management team, participated.
The programme began with a one-hour lecture followed by a hands-on practical workshop.
Key topics covered included cardiac arrest, seizure, fracture, fainting, snake bite, dog bite, bleeding wounds, and choking.
Participants were trained in CPR and splinting through live demonstrations and practice with medical equipment.
Pocket-sized first aid cards were distributed to all students and staff.
A quiz competition was also held, with chocolates awarded to winners to encourage participation.
Students and teachers described the session as informative, interactive and practical.
The school expressed gratitude to the Madras Regiment- VII for organising the meaningful awareness programme.
