Assam Rifles observes National Doctors' Day

Assam Rifles organised a medical camp at Sehlon village on the occasion of National Doctors' Day, reaffirming its commitment to the welfare of the local populace in remote border areas.
According to a release issued by the IGAR (South), the medical camp catered to 58 villagers including women and children, providing them basic medical check-ups and distributing essential medicines as part of its community outreach efforts.
The medical staff diligently carried out medical checkup of the people with counselling sessions on nutrition and disease prevention.
The initiative was a much-needed relief for the residents of Sehlon with limited access to medical infrastructure in the region.
During the awareness lecture, the medical officer emphasised on the importance of hygiene, proper diet, regular exercises to maintain a healthy lifestyle and prevention of lifestyle diseases.
The villagers expressed their gratitude to Assam Rifles for this gesture and appreciated the dedication of the medical team in providing quality care for those in need.
"Assam Rifles take initiatives extending beyond security duties to actively contribute to the health and well-being of communities residing along the IndoMyanmar border," said the IGAR (S) .
