Imphal, December 30 2025: The 2nd remembrance ceremony of martyr Jamesbond Ningombam was held today at Ibudhou Koubru Shanglen, Mayanglangjing organised by Taning Development Club and his family.

Jamesbond was killed by Kuki militants during the wee hours of December 30, 2023 while guarding the area at Kadangband Part II, Imphal West.

The death anniversary was attended by social worker Keisham Sohodeva; Kangjam Borkeina, secretary, Mayanglangjing Semgat Sagatpa Nupi Lup; Khundrakpam Lokendro, former president, Rural United Club Organisation (RUCO); Thoudam Jilla, president, Taning Development Committee and meira paibi leaders from Sekmai and Mayanglangjing area.

The gathering paid floral tributes on the memorial stone dedicated to Jamesbond.

Meanwhile, Ningombam Nandeshwor, father of Jamesbond, presented simple gifts to those who contributed significantly in building the memorial slab.

At the remembrance ceremony, the 2nd edition of Basanta Chongtham's "Thawai Palliba Meetarn" based on the life of Jamesbond was also released.
