Imphal, October 30 2025: The Organizing Committee of the Swachhta Action Plan 2025-26/Kayakalp, RIMS, Imphal, organized a panel discussion on the theme "E-Waste: The Hidden Threat to Our Environment" today at the Old OPD Complex, RIMS Hospital, as part of the ongoing Special Campaign 5.0 .

According to a press release, the panel consisted of Dr Md Habibullah Khan, Program Officer, Directorate of Environment & Climate Change; RK Naojinglen Meitei, Senior Technical Officer (retd), NTELIT, Imphal; Pradip Phanjoubam, Editor, IRAP; and Rajesh Salam, climate journalist.

During the discussion, the panelists shared valuable insights on the adverse effects of e-waste on the environment and public health, emphasizing the urgent need for effective recycling, sustainable disposal mechanisms, and public awareness initiatives to minimize the environmental footprint of electronic consumption.

The programme was attended by nursing officials, staff, and students, along with members of CRED Imphal and MSS, RIMS Imphal.
