Tributes paid to Moirangthem Bhorot

Imphal, January 30 2025: Tributes were paid to renowned Shumang Leela actor & director Late Moirangthem Bhorot today.

A solemn event was held today at the residence of (late) Moirangthem Bhorot in Kongba Nandeibam Leikai, organised by Manipur State Shumang Leela Council.

Manipur State Shumang Leela Council lifetime president, Ph Gunachandra Sharma; Council president, Laishram Tomba; Council lifetime general secretary, Shougrakpam Hemanta; Shumang Leela Award Sub Committee chairman, Ksh Jugindro; Shumang Leela artistes, members and many well wishers were present at the event.

At the event, Sougrakpam Hemanta lauded the enormous contributions of Moirangthem Bhorot for the upliftment of Shumang Leela art form for the past many years.

Sougrakpam Hemanta also condoled the demise of Moirangthem Bhorot and said that his death has left a void which will be very hard to be filled by anybody.
