Thoubal, September 29 2026: 130th Jananeta Hijam Irawat Celebration, 2026 was held today at YVA Complex Wangjing organisedby YVA Irawat Celebration Committee in collaboration with Narengbam Ibotombi Memorial Trust (NIMET) .

The programme commenced with paying floral tributes to the bust of Hijam Irawat erected at YVA Complex Wangjing.

Former chairman of UNLF, RK Meghen; president of NIMET and Manipur Democratic Peoples Front (MDPF) Dr N Rajib; Retired Professor T Babulal and former Pradhan T Joykumar attended as the presidium members of the programme.

As a part of the programme, an on the spot painting competition was held and winners were awarded prizes.

The dignitaries while speaking at the occasion recalled the significant contributions of Irawat towards an egalitarian society.
