Imphal, March 29 2025:
Tampi Youth Club (TYC), on Saturday, organised a one-day seminar, focusing on career guidance, mental health, first aid, and the impact of social media.
The event, held for the village youth, aimed to provide valuable insights into these important aspects of life.
Speaking at the seminar, Living Hope Theological College lecturer Rng Wilson discussed issues related to mental health, relationships, and social media influence.
He highlighted how youths today are easily swayed by platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, leading to unrealistic expectations in relationships and eventual mental health struggles.
He urged the participants to stay grounded and embrace reality rather than illusions created by social media.
Career guidance was provided by Dr Bd Onahring, who enlightened attendees on various career opportunities.
He advised them to make informed decisions based on their interests rather than blindly following societal trends.
Choosing a career that aligns with one's passion and abilities is essential for longterm success, he said.
Dr Peivaar Leivon conducted an informative session on first aid, diet, and hygiene, emphasising their importance for human survival.
She noted that basic first aid knowledge can save lives in emergencies, while maintaining proper diet and hygiene is crucial for overall well-being.
Earlier, TYC president Sr Warthung McCoy welcomed the delegates, explaining that the seminar was organised to inspire and guide the village youth in making better life choices.
General secretary Dy Joyni McCoy delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the resource persons for their valuable contributions.
A large number of village youth, including members of the women's society, attended the seminar.
