AR conducts mega medical camp

The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with a team of specialist doctors from the Indian Medical Council (IMC) and local district health authorities, organised three extensive medical and dental health camps to provide much-needed medical care to the locals of Lilong, Patsoi, Tuibong & Mataregions.
The camps benefited an overwhelming 3,540 people, especially elderly, women, and children in Thoubal, Imphal West and Churachandpur districts, said IGAR South in a statement.
In Imphal valley, the camp witnessed an immense participation of over 2,200 beneficiaries.
Specialists in orthopedics, dermatology, gynaecology, and general medicine from Nasik, Mumbai, and Pune took part in the camp.
MLA Sorokhaibam Rajan Singh inaugurated the camp, and Sazad Buiyamayum, advisor of the Lilong United Club acknowledged the vital relief brought to the community.
At Churachandpur, the doctors were supported by over 30 nursing staff from Bethesda College of Nursing and Tunnu School of Nursing, as well as volunteers from CSOs including the ITLF, Kuki Women's Union, ZSF, and others.
MLA LM Khaute visited the camp, expressed gratitude and presented appreciation certificates and memorabilia.
