Online capacity building progs organised

Imphal, August 25 2021: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Imphal East under the aegis of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) organised an online capacity building programme on "ADR mechanism: Special focus on meditation and Lok Adalat and role of legal services workforce in maximizing referral in both pre-litigation and pending cases to ADR mechanism and their role in pre-Lok Adalat sittings" on Tuesday.

The programme was attended by District and Sessions Judge Imphal East cum chairman DLSA Imphal East RK Memcha, MSLSA member secretary Ojesh Mutum, CJM cum secretary DLSA Imphal East N Lanleima, retainer lawyers, panel lawyers and PLVs.

As part of the programme, Ojesh Mutum spoke on the topic as a resource person, which was followed by an interactive session.

On the other hand, DLSA Chandel organised an online capacity building programme on "ADR mechanism in Chandel and Tengnoupal Districts with primary focus on the upcoming national Lok Adalat' on Wednesday.

MSLSA member secretary, judicial officers, panel lawyers, PLVs and representatives of CSOs attended the-programme.

District arid Sessions Judge Imphal West and chairman DLSA Chandel A Guneshwar spoke as resource person.

Later, an interaction programme was also conducted.

DLSA Bishnupur also organised an online interaction programme on "Enhancing ADR mechanism in Bishnupur with special focus on issues of pre-litigation and pending cases to Lok Adalat" on Wednesday.

District and Sessions Judge Bishnupur cum chairman DLSA W Tonen, CJM cum secretary DLSA Bishnupur Mona Lisa Maibam, JMFC cum civil judge junior division Bishnupur Margaret Niangsiamkim, advocate Y Ramananda, panel lawyer Th Hemchandra, retainer lawyers and .front office staff attended as panel members.

Later, an interaction session of the district PLVs, panel lawyers and litigants with the chairman was also facilitated.
