CRPF sanitises Cheirao Ching, Committee lauds

Imphal, September 24 2024: Under the aegis of IGP Manipur and Nagaland Sector and overall supervision of 86 Battalion CRPF commandant Saurabh Kumar Choudhary, a cleanliness drive was conducted at Cheirao-Ching, Imphal City View Point located at Thangmeiband in Imphal West district, on Tuesday.

According to a release issued by the Battalion's second in command W Nandini Devi, the cleanliness drive was conducted jointly by the Battalion, Lamphel Area Peace and Development Committee and Naharol Leishemba Club, Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai as part of Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign 2024 .

Apart from sanitising surrounding areas of the Imphal City View Point, personnel and officers of the Battalion along with volunteers of the Lamphel committee and Sinam Leikai club planted tree saplings as a part of the drive.

On the other-hand, Kakhulong Youth Committee has expressed gratitude to 86 Battalion CRPF for carrying out fogging operations in Kakhulong on Tuesday.

In a release, Committee president Dr Jendum Golmei said that fogging by the CRPF unit will help contain outbreak of dengue.

The fogging carried out under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign will have immense contribution in safeguarding the health of our community by controlling mosquito-borne disease, the president said.

"Your timely intervention and commitment to public welfare exemplify the spirit of service and protection.

We deeply appreciate your efforts in ensuring a safer and cleaner environment for all," maintained the president addressed to the CRPF CO .
