Tamenglong, September 24 2014:
The NSCN-K, Zeliangrong Region has accused the 27th Assam Rifles of 'whipping up tension' and creating disturbance in the Zeliangrong area.
Condemning the actions and misbehavior of the 27th Assam Rifles in the Zeliangrong area on September 21 last, the NSCN-K said, "They intruded in the peaceful corner of the land, unnecessarily, without any respectable objective other than whipping up tension, and disturbing the quiet and calm atmosphere, which had so far been enjoyed and treasured by the native inhabitants of Longke-Kilong (Rangkiulong) village, of Tousem sub-division, Tamenglong district" .
In a press statement, the NSCN-K said that as a disciplined power, it had refrained from any display of muscle or provocative move.
However, the 27th Assam Rifles has just constructed the image of an amateur for itself, by making an ill-advised move once again, which displayed its sub-standard sense of military discipline or ethics, it stated.
The NSCN-K's words and statements are validated by action, even under the most testing circumstances, unlike the amateurs and their new recruits, the press note also said.
The NSCN-K then said it also takes the liberty to clarify, here, that the myth of the NSCN-K and the ZUF forming a combined unit has no substance in reality, whatsoever.
"The hostiles manufactured such myths.
Spreading falsehood seemed to be their traditional cottage industry," the press note stated.
The Assam Rifles' misadventure served as a fine-tuned tactical move to divert people's attention away from the real societal maniacs like: kidnappers, extortionists, paid killers etc.
"Was it their objective to serve such a satanic purpose? If that's not their objective, what's the need to violate the cease-fire?," it questioned.
