Examinees told to reach centre 15 min early

Deputy commissioner Ahanthem Subhash has advised students appearing in the High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLCE) conducted by the Board of Secondary Examination, Manipur (BSEM), to arrive at least 15 minutes early at their respective examination centres while cautioning that failure to heed the advice might result in barring them for entering the centre.
In a press meet held Monday with regard to measures taken up in the district for the examination, the DC said as per the BSEM guidelines, the student candidates must reach the examination centres 15 minutes earlier.
He also urged parents/guardians and boarding authorities to send the students to the centres in time.
If the students do not arrive before 15 minutes, they will undergo strict frisking.
If they are denied entry after the examination had commenced, the responsibility would be their own and the authorities of the examination centres cannot be blamed, explained the DC .
Subhash also mentioned the order issued by the district magistrate prohibiting the gathering of five or more people within 100 metres of the examination centres and appealed to the people to extend support to the steps taken up by student bodies, Education Department and the district administration to promote quality education.
The press meet was also attended by Thoubal additional SP (L&O) N Suraj Singh, ZEO Zone-III Arambam Anilkumar, representatives of student bodies like DESAM, SUK, KSA, AIMS and others.
