Tungjoy youth launches dustbin distribution drive to promote clean villages

Imphal, July 23 2025: In a significant step towards the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan goals, the Thrawchhiinya Threilou Ralya, a youth wing of Tungjoy Veymai village, Senapati district has initiated a dustbin distribution drive aimed at covering all households in Thrawchhiniya Khel.

The initiative aims to eradicate open dumping, promote proper waste disposal, and instill a culture of cleanliness among villagers.

Each household has been provided with color-coded dustbins to encourage segregation of waste at the source.

The organisers will oversee regular waste collection and proper disposal.

The youth wing hopes the programme will inspire social responsibility, maintain cleanliness, and act as a replicable model for sustainable waste management in rural areas.
