National seminar on 'Role of Pharmacists in Health Care' held

Imphal, February 23 2025:
College of Pharmacy of Kangleipak Medical and Nursing Institute (KMNI) in collaboration with Manipur State Pharmacy Council (MSPC) and Khongnangthaba University, Khurai Salan-thong Chaithabi Leirak, organised a one-day national seminar on 'The Role of Pharmacist in Health Care Sector' at the varsity's auditorium on Saturday.
In a release, Khongnangthaba University registrar Dr Atom Sunil Singh informed that the seminar was attended by St Mary's College of Pharmacy, Secundrabad, Telangana Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry head professor Dr G Mariappan; Regional Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Technology, Agartala, Tripura professor Dr Nilimanka Das; MSPC president RK Basumani Singh; and Government Polytechnic, Imphal senior grade lecturer Dr N Swarnalata Devi, who shared perspectives on the evolving role of pharmacists in public health.
The release further said that the national seminar not only served as a platform for sharing knowledge and expertise but also underscored the critical role of pharmacists in enhancing health care services.
It commenced with welcome address by KMNI College of Pharmacy principal 0 Jimmy Devi followed by a keynote address by college's lecturer L Abungsana Singh, highlighting innovative strategies in pharmaceutical care.
