40 dengue cases detected in 24 hrs

Imphal, October 22 2024:
As many as 40 new dengue cases were detected on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in the state to 1723, according to a report of Directorate of Health Services.
As per the report, 35 new cases have been confirmed in Imphal West district, and five in Imphal East district.
Fatalities due to the infection stand at four.
So far, Imphal West has recorded the highest number of dengue cases with 1225 infected persons, Imphal East 347 cases, Bishnupur 54 cases, Thoubal 48 cases and Kakching 25 cases.
Till Tuesday, Chandel recorded four cases, Kamjong one, Kangpokpi nine, Noney cases, Senapati one, Tamenglong two, and Ukhrul four cases.
The Directorate's website continues to mention 'nil' in the column for Churachandpur, Jiribam, Pherzawl and Tengnoupal districts, contrary to Churachandpur district health department officials claiming that the outbreak has affected 108 persons.
