Relief aid extended to displaced villagers

Imphal, May 20 2026:
Multiple organisations have extended relief assistance to villagers displaced by the ongoing unrest in the State.
The Anal Naga Tribe Union oh Wednesday handed over clothes, food items, cash, and other essentials for displaced Tangkhul families at the office of the Tangkhul People's Organisation Imphal Relief Committee at Tangkhul Avenue.
Union president Ps Monihring said the aid was extended after consultations with village authorities and local residents to support Tangkhul brothers and sisters facing hardships due to the prevailing situation.
The Relief Committee expressed gratitude to the Anal community for the assistance, which included cash contributions for those in distress.
In a separate gesture, Meira Paibis of Mekola and Khurai Lamlong provided rice, pulses, and other daily necessities to residents of Namlee, Wanglee, and Z Choro.
The villagers have been suffering after their homes and property were destroyed in an attack allegedly by KNA-B and PDF cadres in the early hours of May 7 .
The affected villages conveyed their thanks and appreciation for the timely support.
