Imphal, April 19 2026: Torch rallies were held in several areas of Imphal East and Imphal West tonight, demanding action against Kuki militants who killed two siblings in Tronglaobi, as well as accountability for CRPF personnel who opened fire on protesters, resulting in the deaths of three individuals.

During the rally at Koirengei, protesters held placards with messages like "Act now before the funerals", demanding justice for the victims.

Ahead of the rallies, security measures were put in place to prevent any untoward incidents.

A similar torch rally was also organised from Luxmi Bazar to Samurou, where participants raised slogans such as "Long Live Manipur", "Go Back Central Forces", and "We Want Justice" .

A similar torch rally was also staged at Kakching.
