Writers' Forum Platform releases first publication

Imphal, March 19 2023: The unveiling ceremony of the newly floated body of litterateurs christened Writers' Forum Platform was held on Sunday during which its publication entitled 'Poknapham Ima' penned by Soram Iboyaima was also released.

Former minister L Jayantakumar attended the unveiling function of the Platform held at Manipur Press Club here along with its patron RK Nayansana, EZCC Kolkata member Thingbaijam Swarankumar, advisor Nongmaithem Kirankumar and Dr Saratchandra Longjamba of DM University as presidium members.

According to Writers' Forum Platform secretary KB Ingalemba, efforts to float the Platform began in 2018 but the COVID-19 pandemic delayed formation of the body.

The body was finally formed on International Mother Language Day on February 21 this year and formal unveiling ceremony held on Sunday.
