Meeyamgi Numit resumed in Jiribam

Jiribam, January 18 2025:
District administration, Jiribam under the guidance of DC Krishna Kumar, resumed district level Meeyamgi Numit programme after a long hiatus at DC Office Complex, Jiribam on Saturday.
More than 250 participants turned up for the programme and around 129 applications were received by various line departments.
Out of 129 applications received, 115 were resolved and 14 applications are under process.
The services delivered during Saturday's programme include distribution of CMST Card by social welfare department, saplings and seedlings by forest department, school uniform and textbooks by education department, seeds by horticulture department, pesticides by agriculture department.

Various applications for providing drinking water and construction of houses were received and processed on the spot.
Speaking to media persons, DC Krishna Kumar stated that Meeyamgi Numit is being organised as part of fulfilling the vision of good governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and chief minister N Biren's idea of bringing government closer to the people.
He also stated that Meeyamgi Numit will be organised on every second Saturday from the next month onwards.
Showing his gratitude towards all district level officers and public in making the programme successful despite the various challenges faced by the district, the DC maintained that district administration has planned to organise Meeyamgi Numit at various strategic locations of the district including the Ima Market.
He also requested the media persons to spread awareness of the programme among the public so as to increase the turnout and avail maximum number of services.
Later, the DC also briefed the DLOs and staff of various line departments to keep tracking the applications which could not be resolved on the spot and advised them to resolve them before the next Meeyamgi Numit.
The programme was also attended by SP Jiribam Kh Robinsun Singh, additional DC Th Manoranjan, SDO Jiribam and Borobekra Laishram Roshan, DFO Jiribam, executive officer of Jiribam Municipal Council, EDO Jiribam, BDO Borobekra, SDCs and several DLOs among others.
As part of Meeyamgi Numit, a Kendriya Police Kalyan Bhandar was also opened to provide grocery and other household items at subsidised rates to the public.
