Jiribam, November 16 2025: A new computer training institute run by the Manipur Women & Child Development Association (MWCDA)was inaugurated today at Kalinagar, Jiribam, by noted Social Worker of Jiribam, N Budhachandra Singh, who attended the event as chief guest.

The inaugural function was graced by several dignitaries, including Jiribam Higher Secondary School, retd principal S Maniton Singh; retd Asst Inspector of School, Jiribam, Promotesh Das; Social Worker Md Manan; and Lalpani High School teacher MM Hussain, who served as presidium members.

The chief guest formally opened the centre by cutting the ribbon.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest N Budhachandra stated that the newly established institute would greatly benefit the people of Jiribam by equipping them with essential computer skills, which he described as indispensable in the modem world.

In his presidential speech, S Maniton Singh emphasized that in today's era, no task or job can be effectively performed without basic computer knowledge.

He expressed confidence that the institute would play a significant role in empowering local youths and enhancing their employment prospects.
