KCP celebrates MFL raising day

Imphal, August 14 2024: The proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) reportedly celebrated the 20th Raising Day of its armed wing Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) on Tuesday.

According to a KCP statement, main celebration of the MFL Raising Day was held at 131 Battalion with party's general secretary H Poirei as chief guest, chief of the army staff H Ibomcha as president and deputy finance secretary Th Bobby and 131 Bn CO L Palliba as guests of honour.

After lighting the ceremonial lamp by the functional president and unfurling of party's flag by the chief guest, the celebration began with paying of revolutionary salute and floral tributes to martyrs who laid down their lives for the motherland.

After the welcome address delivered by Y Somorjit, the message of the Military Affairs Committee addressing the people on the 20th Raising Day of MFL was read out by L Leisemba.

According to the KCP statement issued by its member-In-charge of information & publicity S Mangal, district commanders of the outfit donated educational items, cloths, sewing machines and some cash to children's homes, orphanages, old age homes, etc., in their respective jurisdictions in valley area as part of the celebration.
