Training on assembly of multirotor UAV begins

A five-day training camp on "Assembly of Obstacle Avoidance Based on Multirotor UAV (Hands on training on making Quadcopter Drone and Hands on Drone Flying "Session in Different Flying Modes)" organised by Dhanamanjuri University Department of Electronics and NIELIT, Imphal under the sponsorship of Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, commenced on Monday at the varsity's College of Science Central Hall.
The inauguration programme was attended by NIELIT, Imphal director N Debachandra Singh as chief guest, DM College of Science principal professor M Bhu-baneshswari Devi as president and DM University Department of Electronics head Ch Biren as guest of honour.
In his address, N Debachandra said that NIELIT, Imphal is among 10 institutions including three I ITs and three NIELIT centres selected by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology under Human Resource Development and Research & Development Project to organise the training programme.
He also pointed out that of the eight boot camps to be organised under the project, four had been conducted at NIELIT, Imphal and the training programme in the varsity marked the fifth camp.
He highlighted that the first three days of the camp will be based on basic awareness on drones with the remaining days focused on practical and handling of drones.
He also assured that further training shall be given to exemplary candidates to help shine in their future careers as professional drone operators.
