Imphal, February 12 2026: Pukhramba Shamu, a prominent figure who made significant contributions to both old and modem theatre, was fondly remembered on his 46th death anniversary held at the Manipur Dramatic Union (MDU) auditorium in Yaiskul today.

The event was organised by The Elite Group of Performing Artistes, Imphal.

Pukhramba Shamu was re membered for introducing a unique flavor and impact through his various short and full-length plays during his brief career.

The function was graced by dignitaries, including Manipur Cultural Organisation president Kangjam Radhakumar and renowned playwright Kshetri Sanajaoba.

As a mark of respect, attendees offered floral tributes to a portrait of the late playwright.
