AHPI holds cycle rally, plantation drive

As part of the 1st APHICON NE-II, 2025, Association of Healthcare Providers India (Manipur Chapter) on Sunday organised a cycle rally for climate action starting from Western Kangla Gate to Manipur University, Canchipur, followed by a tree plantation drive.
The initiative aims to raise environmental awareness and inspire collective action to combat climate change, promoting a greener and more sustainable future.
The cycle rally was flagged off by Manipur University vice-chancellor professor N Lokendro Singh, Babina Group of Companies CMD Dr Th Dhabali Singh, Mother's Care Children Hospital and Research Centre CMD Dr Kh Ratankumar Singh and Raj Medicity CMD Dr H Rajen Singh.

Over 100 individuals including healthcare professionals from the AHPI and IMA Manipur State Branch, members of Doctors on Pedals (DoP), and citizens from various walks of life participated in the cycle rally.
Members of Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) also joined the rally, demonstrating their support for climate action and helping to create awareness on the importance of eco-friendly transportation and reducing carbon footprints.
Following the rally, a tree plantation drive was carried out at Manipur University, symbolising a collective pledge to restore greenery and promote sustainable practices.
The initiative underlines the importance of both preserving the environment and mitigating the effects of climate change through active community engagement, said the Association while expressing gratitude to all participants, dignitaries, volunteers, and sponsors for making the event a grand success.
