Assam Rifles inaugurates new toilet block at Dikuiram village

Tamenglong, December 11 2025: In a significant step toward improving rural sanitation, the Assam Rifles has constructed and inaugurated a new toilet block at Dikuiram Village in Tamenglong district under Operation Sadbhavana.

The initiative aims to enhance public hygiene and provide safe, accessible sanitation facilities to residents of the remote village.

The inauguration ceremony saw an enthusiastic turnout of around 150 villagers, including community leaders, elders, women, and students.

The programme began with a traditional welcome, followed by an awareness briefing on sanitation, cleanliness, and sustainable hygiene practices.

Assam Rifles personnel interacted with the villagers.

emphasising the importance of proper sanitation in promoting healthier living, preventing diseases, and improving the overall quality of life.

The newly built toilet block is designed to meet the daily needs of the local population and supports national efforts to promote cleanliness and dignity for all.

Villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude for the initiative, acknowledging the sustained efforts of the Assam Rifles in supporting community welfare and development.
