Ukhrul, April 11 2025:
A NorthEast Trade Expo showcasing a rich array of products, including household goods and indigenous attires and crafts, at the town hall in Ukhrul is attracting quality-conscious consumers and visitors.
The expo, organised by the NorthEast Trade Fair Society, Kohima, commenced on March 27 and will continue until 15 April.
Speaking to the media at the expo, Abui Newmai, an official from the NorthEast Trade Fair Society, informed that the expo aims to connect with the public by offering genuine, quality products.
"Our products are 90 percent genuine, unlike those found in the market.
Moreover, we are providing a sizable discount on all items," affirmed Newmai, urging the public to come and experience the quality for themselves.

He also mentioned that, depending on public response, they are considering extending the expo by a few days.
According to Newmai, the products on offer at the expo cover a wide range of daily needs, including food items, kitchen utilities, textiles, Naga traditional attire, handicrafts, unbreakable plastic, leather goods, electrical and electronic items, cosmetics, jewellery, health and herbal products, furniture, toys, Thailand products and more.
"These products are sourced from reliable manufacturing companies across different states like Gujarat, Kolkata, Rajastan and Northeastern states like Assam, Nagaland and others," he said.
He further noted that this expo marks the Society's debut in Ukhrul district, making it the second location in the state to host the event, with the same event already held in Senapati district last year.
"Our Society has been organising this expo in different states and districts across the northeast region for many years, and have established a strong reputation for our quality products," Newmai added.
