Imphal, March 11 2025:
The armed Manipur Naga People's Front (MNPF) celebrated its 12th Raising Day at Front's general headquarters (GHQ), battalions and stations on Tuesday.
According to an MNPF statement, the main celebration at GHQ was attended by chairman John Francis Kashung, home secretary SP Kanmi, defence secretary Ruichumhao and publicity secretary Thomas Numai as chief guest, functional president and guests of honour respectively.
Honouring the Front's flag, revolutionary salute to those martyred during the course of liberation movement and speeches by dignitaries were the highlight of the celebration at GHQ and other venues.

At the GHQ, chairman John Francis Kashung invoked divine blessings for the party and extended Raising Day greetings to the people of Manipur and revolutionary organisations of WESEA region.
According to the MNPF statement issued by publicity secretary Thomas Numai, chairman Francis recalled how the party was formed and managed to defeat Indian Occupation Forces (IOF) in series of battles.
The statement noted that India never wishes for peace to prevail in the WESEA region and thus frequently creates tensions and unrest.
Referring to the ongoing violence in Manipur since May 2023 as an issue among fraternal brothers, John Francis Kashung appealed to all concerned not to demand separate administration based on ethnicity.
"All issues should be resolved through dialogue among brothers," he added.
